History
Chameleon Workshop was founded by Eleanor McColl in 2002, with the aim of creating an environment where individuals and groups can experience art in a creative and relaxed atmosphere. Eleanor began by offering art as an extra curricular activity in schools and was soon able to expanded to a studio in Wanchai, where she was able to offer classes to adults and provide a space for parties.
Today Chameleon Workshop has two floors on Queen's Road East and employs a great team of artists/teachers. Our studios are bright, spacious and inspiring. We now run corporate team building events; provide professional development for teachers in schools; run focus weeks for secondary students; provide Artist in Residence programs for schools; and add creative elements to events, parties and fairs.
Our Philosophy
We believe that everyone has an artistic streak. At Chameleon Workshop, we will help you to discover your creative side by persuading you that there is more to art than drawing the perfect still life! Art is something that can enhance your life and we want to show you how.
For children, we aim to provide a well-rounded curriculum that will keep them interested in learning and discovering new mediums. All our classes offer a fine balance between learning about the history of art, introducing children to new and established artists, whilst teaching different techniques and allowing children to experiment and have fun.
How are we Different?
At Chameleon Workshop we teach to small groups, concentrating on the individual so that each student can learn at their own pace. We use quality materials and our courses are taught by practicing artists, each with their own specialist skill base. We offer a range of varied courses and workshops to suit everyone, from Fine Arts to Crafts.
